Our morning routine on daycare days goes something like this: Dadoo gets up a little after 6:00, gets ready, gets Kiddo, gets her dressed, takes her downstairs for breakfast (there is occasionally fussy-buttedness or straight up silliness in the process, but that's a different post). Mama gets up around 7:00, gets ready (or not) and comes downstairs by 7:20 so Dadoo can get out the door for work by 7:30. It isn't the most well-oiled machine but it works well enough.
This morning, after some half-hearted protestation on the part of Kiddo, there was a request to go see Mama before going downstairs. Sure, no problem. Mama was just starting to get up and Kiddo climbed into bed and laid down on top of Mama and it was all very idyllic and adorable. But Mama needed to get ready so Dadoo picked Kiddo up to take her downstairs for breakfast. As we began our descent, a voice (Mama's) from the bedroom bellowed,
The answers, in order are, "Yes. Yes, she did." and "I guess she had to pee." Not the most satisfying answers perhaps but, "ask a silly question ..."
Now, to be fair, someone did put Kiddo in a leftover size 4 diaper, even though she's a little too big for them and has been wearing a size 5 for months. And, to be fair, Kiddo was on her stomach when it happened so it's possible no diaper would have held the offending liquid. And, to be fair, Dadoo had already picked her up and the aforementioned offending liquid had soaked through his dress shirt and his t-shirt. There were no winners in this.
Potty training cannot happen soon enough.

WHY DID SHE PEE ON ME?"
WHY DID SHE PEE ON ME?"
