in case you were wondering ...

We have been hit with a delightful avalanche of houseguests recently.  The Grandmapalooza finale was followed closely by Cousin Fest, which started with Mimi’s brother and three daughters from Japan and finally wrapped up around 6:30 this morning when Philip’s nephew Matthew (and Matthew’s friend Graham) hit the road for California.  We have lots of pictures and a few observations, but mostly pictures!

 

One of us will be around soon with an update.  Will it be Mimi? Or will Yuki’s ever-earlier waking time make Mimi too tired to write?  Will it be Philip? Or will the balky battery on his scooter leave him stranded downtown?  Maybe it will be Trixie!  Or maybe she’ll just sniff the keyboard, then lay down on it!

Yuki is now approaching the age where she is hearing at school that Santa perhaps does not exist and that things are coming from parents. This concern is also spreading to the area of the Tooth Fairy and the Switch Witch.
