So for anybody who actually reads this thing, you know that "Yo Gabba Gabba" is the only show that our TV plays. For Halloween, we decided (because we still can and because after Mimi went through Yuki's closet she figured we had enough of the parts to make the costume) that Yuki would be Foofa. This is Foofa:

A couple of bucks of felt and a bunch of stuff we already had later, and here she is:
Nice work, Mommy.
Most people just said, "Oh what a cute little pink ... fnuh ... thing ... flower!" We didn't bother correcting them. There was one little girl to whom I owe a dollar because she very excitedly told her mommy that "It's Foofa from that show Yo Gabba Gabba!" Anonymous little girl, you made our night.
Hey, anybody remember this kid?

Here's this year's "Halloween on the Front Porch" entry.

Not sure how it's the same person.
And here's the spooky version.

Anyway, it was a good Halloween. We went to a party at Yuki's daycare, then came home for a nap. Then went Trick-or-Treating at the University Village "lifestyle shopping pavilion" or whatever the hell they call that unnecessarily toney outdoor mall. Then we came home and had visits from the usual suspects from the neighborhood and somehow ended up with a boat load of extra candy.

This is what happens when Mimi says, "Will you get some candy?" Whatever I don't eat (or hide) is going to work with Mimi on Monday. So, apologies in advance to the staff of Youth Theatre Northwest.
Today Yuki and I went to Seattle Center (because Mimi was at her ballet class again) to see their "Dia de Muertos" festival but it didn't start until noon and we were leaving before then (boo!) so we hung out by the fountain again for a bit

then went inside for a snack

before we wandered (although I think Yuki figured out how to get there and led me) to the Children's Museum. Here she is driving a subway car in their Japan section.

And no matter how much pink or legwarmers or pink legwarmers your still-not-much-hair-having daughter is wearing, some people will still say stupid shit like, "He has really cute socks on!" Sigh.
