So, last night Yuki slept for 10-1/2 hours. From 10:00 PM until 8:30 AM when we finally had to wake her up so Mimi could feed her. It seems the standard response to having a baby who sleeps for 10+ hours is "You're so lucky!" However, I was up every two hours to check on her so it was actually one of my worst nights of sleep so far.

Just one of the many hidden joys of parenting, I suppose.

You'll eventually stop waking yourself up to check on her...that's when it's good.

Yuki is now approaching the age where she is hearing at school that Santa perhaps does not exist and that things are coming from parents. This concern is also spreading to the area of the Tooth Fairy and the Switch Witch. But, Yuki still wants to believe in the magic.  So much so that while she expressed concern, she has yet to come out and ask us.
